In the heart of our family lies an ancestral treasure — a surname passed down from generation to generation, carrying a rich and meaningful history: Muñiz. Every time Danay pronounces her name, she feels a deep connection to her roots and to those who came before her.

The Muñiz surname has its origins in the beautiful land of Asturias, Spain, where the family was recognized for its bravery and nobility as far back as the Middle Ages. Over the centuries, the Muñiz family embarked on bold journeys — one of which led the family to settle in Cuba, where Danay was born, and later in the United States, where they found new opportunities and a fresh start.

Founding Extra-Mile Realty was Danay's way of honoring that legacy — a family history that has always strived to go above and beyond. The name carries a symbol of commitment, dedication and effort, and that same spirit runs through everything the company does.

How to pronounce Danay Muñiz? Danay is pronounced "DAH-nay" (rhymes with "say"). Muñiz is pronounced "moo-NEEZ" (rhymes with "please").

Danay's Story

Danay Muñiz grew up in a large family that instilled in her the values of hard work and perseverance, encouraging her to study and strive for success. Following that advice, she earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Havana, Cuba — a foundation that gave her a valuable understanding of the real estate industry.

Real estate quickly became her true passion. Charismatic, cheerful and full of energy, Danay loves helping people find a place they can call home — and the happiness she sees on her clients' faces is an endless source of satisfaction.

Moved by that love for the industry, Danay made the decision to found her own real estate company: Extra-Mile Realty. It is the result of years of effort and dedication, and a reminder that dreams can come true when you imagine them and work hard to achieve them.

Danay is grateful for the people who have supported her along the way — her family, especially her husband (a former math teacher who has since joined the company as an agent), her clients, and her longtime business partner, Mr. Aspromallis, who believed in her vision from the start.

Since relocating to Port St. Lucie in 2015 with her husband, Danay has sold over a million dollars in properties across the Treasure Coast and the Space Coast — and she takes great pride in tailoring her approach to each client's individual needs.
